Greetings Bucket Calf Families,

We are so sad that we haven’t been able to meet in person, but hope you are all staying safe and enjoying all this extra family time. The best cure for the “I am bored, there is nothing to do!” is raising a bucket calf! And since It is almost that time when calves should be chosen for the project, so we want to be sure to reach out to those families that are new to the project or those that might want a little refresher on how to prepare. For our April meeting we will be going virtual! At the end of this message you will find a link, meeting ID and password to a Zoom meeting scheduled for our meeting time regular time. We will also try and broadcast this meeting on Facebook live at the same time so it will be recorded and you can access for future reference. Please be patient as this is something new for all of us and we are working to find new ways to get information to you during this time. Please be sure to read through the documents attached if you were not able to attend our February meeting and be sure to follow our Facebook page as we use that site as our main source to share program news and updates.

I have also attached our 2020 sponsorship form. The stay-at-home order has curbed our fundraising efforts, so we ask you to help us spread the word about our great program. If you know of a company or person that may be able to help support our program  and the Austin County Fair please share our sponsorship form. Your help is greatly appreciated!

We are looking forward to when we can meet again in person and the Mentors are able to start working with the exhibitors.

Stay safe and we will “see” you on Monday,

Austin County Fair Bucket Calf Committee

Megan Kendrick, Tracie Eckelberg, Stacy Eckert, Matt Dean, Anna Krueger, Amanda Luedke, Sara Burson

Remember calf requirements for the 2020 Austin County Fair: Project calf must be born between May 1, 2020 and July 8, 2020 (must be born 6 weeks prior to Progress Show).
