The purpose of the Champion Drive is to provide special needs youth in Austin County the opportunity to participate first-hand, in a livestock show experience. Special needs exhibitors will participate in a traditional multi-species show. Species that we could use are pigs, bucket calves, rabbits, goats and turkeys and will be matched based on the physical and emotional needs of exhibitor participating in the event. Each exhibitor will be assigned a “buddy.” Buddies are 4-H and FFA members that will assist exhibitors with exhibition of the livestock projects. Each exhibitor in the show will receive an awards, an exhibitor shirt, photo with their buddy and a catered lunch for all exhibitors, buddies and sponsors.
